What are the intercepts of the equation -2x + 5y = 20?

OpenStudy (cydney_morgan):

I believe the intercepts are -2x and 5y but I am not 100% sure.

OpenStudy (cydney_morgan):

The x-intercept of a line is the point at which the line crosses the x axis. ( i.e. where the y value equals 0 ) x-intercept = ( x, 0 ) The y-intercept of a line is the point at which the line crosses the y axis. ( i.e. where the x value equals 0 ) y-intercept = ( 0, y ) (source: http://cs.selu.edu/~rbyrd/math/intercept/ )

OpenStudy (mrnood):

for the x intercept put y=0 into the equation , and solve for x for the y intercept put x=0 into the equation , and solve for y

OpenStudy (bradely):

x -intercept =-10 y-intercept=4 Step by step solution http://www.mathskey.com/question2answer/18258/what-are-the-intercepts-of-the-equation
