MEDAL TO WHOEVER ANSWERS RIGHT!!!! Explain why (–4x)^0 = 1, but –4x^0 = –4.

for the first one, the index affects both the (-4) and the (X) so that gives 1....but for the second one, the index affects only the (x)...and we know that every number to the index zero gives 1...so it then becomes -4*1=-4
