ln(3x-6)=4

hartnn (hartnn):

\(\Large \ln a=b \implies a= e^b \) can you relate ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Umm No. That Ones A Little More Confusing Than The Others

hartnn (hartnn):

a= 3x-6 b=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(3x-6)= e^4

hartnn (hartnn):

yep! now u just have to isolate x

OpenStudy (cj49):

In(3x - 6) = 4 e^4 = 3x - 6 x = (e^4 + 6)/3

hartnn (hartnn):

and i am sure you can do that yourself :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So I Add 6 On Both Sides Then Divide By 3? (3x-6)=e^4 +6 +6 3x=e^4+6 /3 x=e^4+6/3

hartnn (hartnn):

correct! just be careful with brackets x= (e^4+6)/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So Its 20.1993

hartnn (hartnn):

you can keep it x= (e^4+6)/3 if you want approximate value, then yes its 20.199

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank You! Again. :)

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^
