How can I simplify these 2 answers fully? 2+2sqrt(11) /10 , 2-2sqrt(11)/10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@nincompoop

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They each have a common denominator, so you could add 2+2sqrt(11) and 2-2sqrt(11)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you get that put if over your 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no they are two seperate answers sorry i didn't clarify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2+sqrt(11)/10 needs to be simplified and the other does as well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If I'm correct, they seem to be in their simplest form.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Unless they want you to find sqrt 11, which will lead you to a decimal

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

so for you can simplifie factoriz out in numerator 2 and you can simplifie by 2 the numerators and denominators by 2 hope this will help you

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

will get 2(1+sqrt11)/10 = (1+sqrt11)/5 so second sill be the same

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

second will be (1-sqrt11)/5
