What trigonometric function represents the graph? f(x) = 4 sin(x − pi over 2) f(x) = −4 sin(x − pi over 2) f(x) = 4 cos(x − pi over 2) f(x) = −4 cos(x − pi over 2)

i think its either A or C.

OpenStudy (jtvatsim):

OK, we will work with those first then.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it looks like a sin graph.

OpenStudy (jtvatsim):

That's true, but does it look exactly like a sin graph? Sin graphs usually go UP then DOWN, not DOWN then UP, it's as if it is upside down.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OHH Its COS.

OpenStudy (jtvatsim):

Maybe so, let's keep our eyes open and watch for any traps they might try to catch us with.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay.

OpenStudy (jtvatsim):

I'm going to draw what sin and cos usually look like so that we have the same picture in our heads.
