Can someone tell me if I answered this correctly? (My chem book doesn't give the answer despite the fact that it's an example problem) A lazer dazzles the audience in a rock concert by emitting green light with a wavelength of 515 nm. Calculate the frequency of the light v=c/lambda 3.00*10^8/515*10^-9 =5.813*10^14 m

OpenStudy (accessdenied):

I agree with the work. The number seems a bit off (5.813 when I get 5.825 from those numbers). The units should be in 1/s or Hz (it is a frequency and not a wavelength, or observe units: m/s / m = 1/s)

Thank you! I actually got that but I rounded to 3 sig figs. 5.83***

Glad to help! And, that makes more sense then! :)
