OpenStudy (girlgoyleh.):

\[\left(\begin{matrix}3 \\ 3^{-2}\end{matrix}\right)\]

OpenStudy (girlgoyleh.):

@melissa780

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that a fraction?

OpenStudy (girlgoyleh.):

yeah, just ignore the parentheses..

OpenStudy (girlgoyleh.):

i got 27

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 / 3^-2 3 / 9 1 / 3 Is 1/3 one of your answer choices?

OpenStudy (girlgoyleh.):

yes, but you have to multiply 9*3 and the answer is 27.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why would you multiply 9 and 3 if it's a fraction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take a picture of the problem and upload it so I can see if you wrote it down right because that might be the issue.

OpenStudy (girlgoyleh.):

i dont really know why they do that, but in the lesson it told me to multiply and i did and got it right. so it is 27

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mmm, if you say so. Maybe you're doing something different than what I have in my head so that could be it as well. Go with what you think is right. It's probably not a fraction then, the numbers just happen to be on top of each other.

OpenStudy (girlgoyleh.):

its right i finished that question a while ago

OpenStudy (girlgoyleh.):

thank you anyway! :)
