Skee

Well one way would probably be just turning it into another exponent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like how the square root of x can be expressed as x^(1/2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In this case since you have x^2, is there another way you can change the "2" in the exponent and make it different but still equal 2?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

\[x^2 \] is the clearest and most appropriate way in which to write "the square of x" or "the second power of x"

OpenStudy (phi):

they probably want to see things like \[ \frac{1}{x^{-2} }\] or \[\frac{x^3}{x} \]

OpenStudy (phi):

or \[ \left( \sqrt{x} \right)^4\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is so helpful, thank you guys so much
