Identify the sequence graphed below and the average rate of change from n = 0 to n = 2. http://gyazo.com/77dcb86a2ddf5bc616de00d52dbcd1a0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is n in this graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[a_n=(\frac{ 1 }{ 2 })^n-1\] (the -1 is supposed to be up with the tiny n too) and before 1/2 is either 10 or 20 I can't figure out which

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know average rate of change is 15 at least i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, from the graph we have these points: (1,10), (2,5) and (4,1.25)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a_n = 10*(1/2)^(n-1) for n = 0: a_0 = 20 for n = 1: a_1 = 10 for n = 2: a_2 = 5 for n = 3: a_3 = 2.5 ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for n = 4: a_4 = 1.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh and for average rate of change I meant 15/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that represents sequence in teh graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would average rate of change be right or since its becoming less would I put -15/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you find this rate of change?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes it will be -15/2
