8th grade k12 literature help? In "A Cub Pilot," the author says: "Judgment is a matter of brains, and a man must start with a good stock of that article, or he will never succeed as a pilot." What does the author mean? A. Pilots need a good stock of material possessions. B. A person who lacks good judgment cannot be a good pilot. C. Intelligence is more important than good judgment. D. Success as a pilot depends only on judgment.
When the author says "Judgement is a matter of brains, and a man must start with a good stock of that article--", he is saying that without a good stock of brains, you cannot have good judgement.
So the answer would be D or A?
So I thought that C, D, and A are wrong.
And this IS an opinion, so B could very easily be the answer.
Nothing about A,C,or D is stated in the passage.
And the author is implying A person who lacks good judgment cannot be a good pilot. So I cannot see another answer other than B
Ohh okay I see it. Thank you
