look at this page http://www.experian.com/credit-education/life-events-faqs.html it says "Potential creditors review credit applications primarily in relation to risk. They try to predict whether you'll repay your debts on time by evaluating your character, capacity and collateral/capital. Character: Your length of residency and employment help credit grantors develop a feeling of your personal stability" So the longer you stay in one location, the more likely you have a stable job so you can pay off your bills, debt, etc. That leads to a higher score. If you're on the move a lot, then it might mean you cannot pay off rent or mortgage which makes you lose your residence and you have to find another place to live.
