yes, that is correct. we assume the signal traveled in a straight line to both ships, and if we trace back along both paths we will reach the point of intersection. But I don't know what theorem they have in mind.

ok, so what i did was i extended the arrows to where they met and thats how i came to the conclusion where the location of the distress call was at.? @phi that sound good?
