Help will give medal. This weekend you are going camping with your closest friends and family. Discuss at least two ways each layer, the epidermis and dermis, may protect you on this excursion.

The dermis is the second and thickest layer of your skin. It is also made up of dense irregular connective tissue. Sweat glans and hair follicle are all found in the dermis layer along with blood vessels. This layer of skin is very important for when you are running around outside in the heat. Because when your body temperature rises, the nervous system signals sweat glans ( which is located in the dermis layer) to release liquid to the surface of your skin. The liquid evaporates and it carries out heat from the skin and lowers your body temperature. The Epidermis Layer The Epidermis layer of your skin is the outer layer. Its specialized cells act as a physical and biological barrier to the environment. This protects you from pollen and dust. There are layers in the Epidermis layer of your skin. The Stratum layers of the Epidermis provide a protective barrier that prevents foreign and infectious substances from entering your body. That is great news to hear, especially when your going camping in the woods. Question #3 Snow Time! My family and I lived in Illinois for 3 1/2 years. One time, in January there was a huge snow storm and we got snowed in. My dad had to go to work the next day and there was no way he could make it out the driveway. This only meant one thing... Shovel time! So we all went outside to shovel and my dad locked the front door. After 2 hours of making snow angels and a snow man and of course clearing the driveway, we had all agreed to go back inside because it started to snow again, hard! How did I stay warm for that long! I know I have 3 layers for skin on my body, the Epidermis layer, the Dermis layer, and the Hypodermis layer. One of those layers have to be the reason why my body stayed warm during the below zero degree weather, looking for my dad's keys.
