@zepdrix
@Zale101 @arabpride
Have you considered making that ugly right-hand side into something tractable, like maybe an improper fraction? That will help. After that, I might be tempted to multiply the whole thing by 12. Why would I do that? Show your work!
arab can u help i dont get it
@Firejay5
Do you want to know how?
yes plz
http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%281%2F4%29+%283x+-+16%29+%2B+%281%2F4%29x+%3D+5%281%2F3%29. I am NOT for sure it's correct, but this is the answer it gave me. MAKE SURE YOU SHOW YOUR WORK THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
are you sure that's right but there's spoust to be a whole number
What are you talking about
I don't know what to do, I am not doing that
Really? 5 1/3 = 16/3 (1/4)(3x-16) + (1/4)x = (16/3) Multply by 12. 3(3x-16) + 3x = 4(16) Did you even TRY what I told you? Come on!! Show YOUR work!
but does x equal
Well, that would be the "show your work" part, wouldn't it... You tell me what x equal.
x=21
You showed no work. How did you get that? Did you just copy it out of a book?
no
9 1/3
Wow. Still no work. Maybe you're rolling dice? SHOW SOME WORK!
