Dividing algebraic fractions?? http://goo.gl/1MGgd0

OpenStudy (rob1525):

well its a division of two rational polynomials soo u must first change that then divide the result

OpenStudy (anonymous):

change to what? u mean flip the right fraction?

OpenStudy (rob1525):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i know i just dont know how to factor some of it

OpenStudy (rob1525):

okay let me look again...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if im factoring 9-2^a i get (a-3)(a+3) but i think thts wrong?...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean a^2

OpenStudy (triciaal):

the quadratics can be factored. when you divide fractions you invert the divisor and multiply.

OpenStudy (triciaal):

9 - a^2 is not the same as a^2 - 9 yes it would be the difference of 2 squares
