15. Identify the coordinates of point A after a translation with rule (x + 3, y - 2). A' = (-1, 5) A' = (4, 0) A' = (-2, 4) A' = (0, 4)

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

The easiest way to to do this is to write down all points, and then do the adding and subtracting.

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

Nvm, it is just for the point A. I really need to read better.

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

Okay, so what are the coordinates of A?

OpenStudy (dj3strella):

1,2

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

Correct! Now, for the x value, the "1", they want you to add 3. And for the y value, the "2", subtract 2. What are the new coordinates?

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

By the way, all A' means is the new point; the point after it changed. I don't know if that made it more confusing, however.

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

A is the original point, A' is what happened after you did something to it.

OpenStudy (dj3strella):

so its 4,0

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

Correct! Well, at least thats what I think it is aswell.

OpenStudy (dj3strella):

ok thank you

OpenStudy (jonnyvonny):

No problem, if you have any more questions, feel free to personally pm me.

OpenStudy (dj3strella):

ok
