A= 2 L + 2 W ; L

Could you clarify this question or post a screenshot of the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know how to do that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok I typed the question wrong. Sorry!

OpenStudy (aum):

2 x + 5 y = 20 solve for y. To solve for y, isolate y: subtract 2x from both sides: 5y = 20 - 2x divide by 5: y = 4 -2/5x or y = -2/5 * x + 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome that's what I got for that one!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The next one is 5 x- 2 y= 3; y

OpenStudy (aum):

Follow the method used in the previous problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got y= -negitive 5x-3 over negitive 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh the three is also negitive

OpenStudy (aum):

5x - 2y = 3 we want to solve for y but we want to make its coefficient positive too. Add 2y to both sides: 5x = 3 + 2y subtract 3 5x - 3 = 2y divide by 2 5/2 * x - 3/2 = y or y = 5/2 * x - 3/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok I got that one wrong. Going re work it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok got that one now it had me confused. Thank you for your help.

OpenStudy (aum):

You are welcome.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The next one is A = 2 L + 2 W ; L

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know the answer is 4 but I'm not sure how to do the formula to it.
