Help! I think i got two of them correct. Which numbers are greater than 5 × 10−6? Choose all answers that are correct. A. 9 × 10−8 B. 7 × 10−6 C. 5 × 10−4*** D. 4 × 10−6*** E. 8 × 10−9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well we have 50-6=44, So out of those what numbers are greatter than that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All of the numbers that are "subtracted" are actually exponents @TacoBellMan

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the more negative an exponent is, the smaller the real value becomes 10^-2 > 10^-100

OpenStudy (amistre64):

so, if we have any 10^-6, all exponents bigger than -6 are bigger by default, any exponents equal to -6 ... hmm 2(10^-1) [??] 5(10^-1) 2(10^-1)(10^1) [??] 5(10^-1)(10^1) 2 [??] 5 is just a comparison of the integer values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhhh well then amistre64 shall steer you right now I apologize for my confusion

OpenStudy (amistre64):

since 4 < 5, i wouldnt pick that one to be bigger

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So A. B. and C.?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

-8< -6 so not A th epossibles are: BCD but one of those is a bust

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a(10^-5) > b(10^-8) a(10^-5)(10^5) > b(10^-8)(10^5) a > b(10^-3) since a is >1 and b is a fraction <1 ...

Thank you! I'll let you know if i get it right.
