Find the values of x,y, and z. The diagram is not to scale. https://www.connexus.com/content/media/451160-12162010-12221-PM-977311749.png A. x=86, y=94, z=75 B. x=86, y=75, z=94 C. x=75, y=94, z=86 D. x=75, y=86, z=94 @zephyr141

can you find x (using the fact that the 3 angles in a triangle add up to 180 ) ?

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

ok look at triangle one. ignore the 11 degree angle for now. just focus on the angle 35 and 59. now the angles inside a triangle will always ALWAYS equal to 180 degrees. knowing that you can find andgle x by setting up the equation 180=59+35+x. now just solve for x by adding 59 and 35 together and then subtracting that value from 180. like so 180-(59+35)=x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x=86? @zephyr141

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

yep yep

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

ok moving on to angle z. now the angles in a circle add up to 360. and draw a line through it at half and you have a straight line and the angle of that line is 180 degrees. now you see a straight line there where you see an angle on one side and a variable z. now do the same as we did to find angle x.

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

180=86+z 180-86=z

the answer is B.

@zephyr141 can you help me with other ones now?

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

yes it is. good job!|dw:1412953694071:dw|
