Can someone help me understand the difference between descriptive statistics and inferential statistics?
https://statistics.laerd.com/statistical-guides/descriptive-inferential-statistics.php Maybe this ^ will help.
I have this worksheet and I am supposed to determine which phrases are inferential or descriptive but I am having a hard time with one of them. Do you have any examples of each of them?
Descriptive: Statistics that merely describe the group they belong to. Inferential: Statistics that are used to draw conclusions about a larger group of people
Could you give me one problem on the worksheet? I'll help explain it to you so maybe you can understand and do the rest yourself.
What you put above ^ is correct
The High school will never have more than 12 students in Biology.
