This is what I put: What Sonnet 30 describes is the remembrance that he had in the past. A reflection of his sad memories, remembering as if it we happening in the present time. As well, it had a flash back where knows all of the struggle, and pain he had to go through. He also remembered a friend of his, the speaker feels the sadness that's going on between his best friend. The attitude toward his thought of his dear friend, would probably be sad – 'cause he misses him. Quoted, “But if the while I think on thee, dear friend.”, referred to as, “But if I think of you while I am in this state of sadness, dear friend.” “All losses are restor'd and sorrows” Translated to “All my losses are compensated for and my sorrow ends.” Comments from my teacher: Does remembering his friend bring sadness? You don’t provide a clear explanation of the last two lines. What changes when he thinks of his friend? How is this poem a tribute to his friend?
