how do i convert cos 1/4 into radians

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

You don't have to convert anything. Just look up (or enter in your calculator) the cosine of 1/4 in radians.

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

Actually the cosine of 1/4 is just a ratio and NOT an angle. You could look up the cosine of 1/4 radians and it is 0.96891

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok but to find all angles of sec(t)=4 i need a radian measure plus my 2pie k where k is an integer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

herein is my problem for i've found the cos value to be the 1/4

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

If you have a cosine value of .25 and want to know the angle then you want the acrcosine the arc cosine of .25 = 75.522 Degrees the arc cosine of .25 = 1.3181 Radians

wow thats very informative thank you.
