Suppose a bag of marbles has 4 green, 2 red, 5 yellow, 1 brown, and 7 blue marbles. What is the probability of picking a brown marble, not replacing it, and picking another brown marble?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

brown: 1/19, brown: 0

OpenStudy (igreen):

You can't do that..because there is only 1 brown marble. So you can't pick 2 brown marbles. Therefore the probability is 0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea its just 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what I thought because there was only 1 brown marble. I din't know if my answer could just be "zero"

OpenStudy (igreen):

Oh, well is it multiple choice?

OpenStudy (igreen):

There's NO chance of picking 2 brown marbles because you only have ONE brown marble. So it has to be 0.
