I am putting n a back-up camera on my car and am sure I have the camera wired correctly. Now I am putting a monitor in th front for the driver to see. I have the positive wire for the monitor attached in the fuse box. The fuse selected is for the ignition (as suggested in the "instructions." ) The negative wire for the monitor is my hang-up. Where do I attach/splice the negative wire to complete the circuit. (The directions (though very well translated from Chinese) don't address this. Probably if I knew enough about DIrect Current, I would know, but don't. Please help. Thanks - Jim

Assuming your auto utilizes a negative ground system, connect the negative lead of the monitor to the chassis ground system. With so much plastic these days that may be difficult, but you should find a ground somewhere beneath the dash, usually a black wire is "ground" and it should go to a metal surface of the cars body. Good luck.

What did you use for ground when you wired the back-up camera?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I used the negative terminal on the reverse light bulb.

That will work and is convenient to the back-up camera, for the monitor in the cab, my monitor was provided with a "cigarette lighter" plug which used the ground at the cigarette plug socket. I don't know the layout of your situation but that was convenient for me.
