2x=1-y, -3+y=-2x+1 Is this parallel, coincident, or intersecting?

OpenStudy (imstuck):

I'm sorry, but what is "coincident"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I actually have no clue.

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Ok, got it. Coincident lines are the exact same lines. Meaning when you solve those equations up there, if the equations turn out to be exactly the same, then they are the same line. Solve each one of your equations for y. Can you do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is coincident

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no intersecting

Nnesha (nnesha):

what is your slope of both equation ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3,4

OpenStudy (imstuck):

Put the equations into y=mx+b form (meaning solve both of them for y) and you should see what they are.

Nnesha (nnesha):

nope that is not slope if you find slope you can find answer :)
