How do I find the equation for the line parallel to the line 4x+7y+15=0 which passes through the point (-6,9)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Put it into y-intercept form and then parallel lines have the same slope. So plug in the points for x and y to find the y-intercept and then put your y-intercept into the equation and the finished product will be your equation. Hope that helps!

I get: \[y=-\frac{ 15 }{ 7 }-\frac{ 4 }{ 7 }x\] If I put y into x I get 0=0
