OpenStudy (anonymous):

NonHomegeneous Equation. Using the Method of Undetermined Coeff. y"(x)+y'(x)=2^x

OpenStudy (freckles):

Have you solve y''+y'=0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no I have not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so r= -1 and r= 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am unsure of the equation I am supposed to use since this is equal to a power function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am assuming we will use the natural log at some point but I do not what to do to get there

OpenStudy (freckles):

Ok so we already know part of the solution looks like y=ae^{-t}+b Now for the part that involves the homogeneous part try y=c2^x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry for never responding. we ended up going over this in class and I forget to close the question
