@M0j0jojo @mathmath333

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

h(x) = x2 + -10x + 9 ^ \(\pm?\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you give me the answer than show me how to do it?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so you can transcribe it over.. .and that "helps" you how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is a formula for finding a discriminant. Read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discriminant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but I cant because I don't know how im barley good in English. I juts want the answer then u can show me how to do it because I don't have time

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... if you dunno how ... that begs the question why the exercise at all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll just briefly go over it. Discriminant of quadratic is define by b^2-4ac if the D is greater than zero than the quadratic will have to 2 real roots, if the D is equal to zero then you will have 2 of the same roots, and D is less than zero there are no real roots.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

the idea behind the exercises is to go over material already cover I mean..... is not like your teacher will start chapter 5 say, by going to page 50 and then back to page 40 so the chapter or sections have to be covered for the exercise being assigned
