OpenStudy (anonymous):
What about \[5^{4} \times 5^{4}\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
idk.... i just did it on my scientific
calculator and came up with that answer

Ok, so 10^10 is basically 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10. Same with 10^9. 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10. So, you basically take that, and add the number of 0s, so it's (4.87 x 10,000,000,000) - (7.7 x 1,000,000,000). Then, you take the 4.87 (or 7.7) and replace the first numbers of the number with them (making it 4,8700,000,000 - 7,700,000,000, which equals 41,000,000,000 or 4.1 * 10^9.

it would be to the tenth power

OpenStudy (anonymous):
There just has to be one x not two
