Which type of property can be measured without changing the substance into a new substance? A. physical property B. chemical property PLEASE HELP :)

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

well if you look at it a physical property just needs something to measure it's weight, length, density, and stuff like that. just need some outside things. don't need to change the substance at all. now chemicals may sometimes require you to add a chemical that would help you find the percentage of other chemicals present in a substance. so at times chemical properties would require some changing of the substance to measure certain things.

If you have an item, lets say a piece of glass, and you broke the glass, it is the same thing, it just looks different. So if its the same thing, but looks different, would it be physical, or chemical. Keepin mind, you did not change ANYTHING about the substance, except the looks :)
