Fan and medal? Help me out! Evaluate the following expression using the values given: Find -a2 - 3b3 + c2 + 2b3 - c2 if a = 3, b = 2, and c = -3. -67 -17 -31 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Substitute the values of a, b, and c into the expression and simplify it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont understand how to do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, could you enlighten me? Is the first one \(-a^2\) or \((-a)^2\)? And last one too?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me screen shot it for you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's a great idea.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Got it. The first thing I realized is that you can simplify them, e.g. \(-3b^3\) and \(2b^3\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now we got \(-a^2-b^3\), much easier. Then substitute a and b into it. \(-3^2-2^3=-17\).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what would the answer be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-17

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thankssssssss

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm trying to fan you my computer is being dumb

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's my pleasure.
