Which is a difference between plant and animal cells?
plant cells have double cell wall, a square shape and they are placed as tiles. They also have special organs called chloroplasts with chlorofyl inside to get food (they provide photosyntesis - they need carbon dioxide, water and sunlght to produce sugar). Animal cells don't have a certain shape or chloroplasts. Is that enough or do you want to know more? :)
Beyond size, the main structural differences between plant and animal cells lie in a few additional structures found in plant cells. These structures include: chloroplasts, the cell wall, and vacuoles.
Are you doing a lab or sth, my friend? What school do you study? @tyjune123
Oh, Thanks @Fallontine for your medal. I really appreciate it. May I ask have you done a Photosynthesis Lab Report before. What school do you study?
@tyjune123 they also have a different way to "commit a suicide", if needed - animal cells have special ensymes to do this in their lysosomes. Plants often use fungi for this. @KittyT you're welcome :) I'm 14 years old and I'm in the 1st grade of a high school. (Our school system is different). I have never done any lab about plants, my only labs were connected to find out the PH of water :) but I love biology and I try to study it as much as possible. And my high school is something called "bilingual gymnasium", that means, that I'm from Slovakia (middle Europe) and my native language is Slovak, but we only speak English at school :)
Thank you so much for your wonderful post! Nice to meet you
thanks for a medal, too :) and what is your experience with biology? + which biology topics do you like?
