OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

How do you use the verb "to marry (someone)"?

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

@Loser66 @hba @dan815 @Cuanchi @One098

OpenStudy (one098):

casarme con (persons name)

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

So, like Lucy quiere casarse con Luke?

OpenStudy (one098):

Yes

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

Thanks!

OpenStudy (one098):

anytime

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

@One098 How would I say: You can not marry a man you just met. No puedes un hombre tu acabas de encontrar?

OpenStudy (one098):

No te puedes casar con un hombre que acabas de conocer=You cannot marry a man you just met.

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

Why is it te puedes?

OpenStudy (one098):

Because if it were just No puedes, it would be "No puedes casarte..." and if it is No te puedes, it would be "No to puedes casar.." It just changes the word, that's all but whether you add the "te puedes" or not, depends on the form of "casar".

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

Oh! That makes sense. What is the difference between encontrar y conocer?

OpenStudy (one098):

Encontrar is to find something/someone and Conocer is to get to know.

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

Ok! I get it! Thanks!

OpenStudy (one098):

Anytime!
