I suggest you draw these type of problems, either on graph paper or use a free software program like geogebra. As you can see I've drawn the problem out for you. You can see that I have made two right triangles from the information given. Since the two triangles are similar, the sides of the triangles are proportional. You are given that the distance from point D to point B is 1/4 the distance from point D to point C. Since the sides of the triangles are proportional, then the distance from point F to point B must be 1/4 the distance from point E to point D. You should be able to figure the y value for point B now.
