i need to get the standard form of (-7,0) and (0,9)

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Hey @ashleygray Do you know what the standard form of a line is? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got the slope but need to get it in standard form

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

You need to know what the standard form of a line is, to solve this question! Do you have it any textbook?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes ax+by=c

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

Correct! Do you know the point-slope form of a line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

To find the equation of a line in terms of x and y. You can use the following equation:\[(y-y_1) = m(x-x_1)\] Where (x1,y1) is ANY point on the line and 'm' is the slope! :D You found the slope. And you have one point. So find the equation and represent it in the standard form!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok the points are (-7,0) and (0,9)
