@JackleBee think you can help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure reading the poem

OpenStudy (sicklefirebolt):

okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Explain how these details contribute to the emotional power of the piece. Okay so you can see she uses the stanza "go, go, go etc" part that serves as a repetitive anaphora, no? This part creates voice, and her diction such as "importune" also show her voice in creating and showing her vain and pride along with her loneliness. Each time she repeats this phrase to induce a feeling of sorrow

almost in a tone of regret, she misses her fair beauty she once had that made her prideful

+ her syntax and grammar along with her short sentence really create a flare of feeling- slowing the voice, tone, and mood of the poem. List the examples of important details the author chose to omit. Explain how these missing details contribute to the emotional power of the piece. This piece was written my Q. Elizabeth.. so one important fact was the she technically left out the fact that she was british royalty. THE VIRGIN QUEEN OF ENGLAND. So this poem kind of was really out of character for Q. Elizabeth because she was very well received as the pure, virgin, warrior great Q. of England. etc. So it creates a tone that all people can feel- and illustrates her human side. This creates a true human and emotional piece because of the vulnerability illustrated. Because she didn't say: As queen, or who where suitors were, how old she was- the choice was broad but thorough in thought.

Analyze the author’s use of syntax in this text. Are the sentences long or short? Does the author use punctuation to slow down the pace, or short phrases to quicken it? - remember the repetition of phrases. "How many weeping eyes I made to pine in woe, How many sighing hearts I have not skill to show," Another repetition except with different examples , the sentences are short to describe sentiment, and she also speaks through the form of I rather than she or he- which truly directs the poem to herself and the human feeling. Explain how the sentence structure contributes to the emotional power of the piece. (like as stated before)
