Can someone do this in their graphing calculator? Mine does not have any batteries just went dead on me!! and i won't have time to go buy some to wal- mart and come back its due in 45!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

super easy i kept getting one decimal wrong but its staright forwards

OpenStudy (anonymous):

straight

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can use www.desmos.com/calculator for a graphing calculator. I have a $200 graphing calc and I prefer desmos. Much more user friendly and its always been very accurate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not a problem at all. Good luck with the exam!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its homework i wish my exam was this easy lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but thanks:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha well still, good luck. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait but how do i look at the table to view the results?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like i manually press my x axix the number i want and it gives me my y which is my answer, but i can't do it on this??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like a table set!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhhhh:/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it's something that you would normally use a graphing calculator for, then Desmos should be able t provide you with sufficient results. You can also use Google to find a free online chart generator.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

If you look in the upper right corner, the plus sign > add item > table for your y coordinate, replace it with x sin(1/3x),

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Then manually type in each x value that you need to look at.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

upper left corner* sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it doesnt give me any?:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it lets me input an X but no Y's pop out

zepdrix (zepdrix):

When you put the X, it should generate a Y for that X. Did you change your Y at the top of the chart to x sin(1/3x) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is how i have it?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Woops, put some brackets BEFORE you put stuff into the sine function :) It didn't interpret your sine function correctly.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

x sin ( ) Get those brackets ^ before you put anything into the sine function

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Oh you didn't replace the y :c

zepdrix (zepdrix):

See how you wrote the function ABOVE the chart? No no no :O You want to REPLACE that y with the function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay give me a second

zepdrix (zepdrix):

k c:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh no it still doesn't do it!!! :(

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Here I'll share my graph :) Maybe you can see what you did wrong: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/uellvhvhjg

zepdrix (zepdrix):

You wrote the function ABOVE, you want to replace the y, see how I did that? :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i see, I'm sorry I'm not familiar with this at all!! i feel so dumb lol thank you, now let me try it

zepdrix (zepdrix):

S'ok :) It's tough using new tools.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now it works!!! it not tough at all lol thank you!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANKS GUYS:D You're all the best

zepdrix (zepdrix):

yay team \c:/

OpenStudy (aum):

Only table (no graph).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@aum i just got it like 10 seconds ago, but thank you so much i really appreciate it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i will close this question now, & thank you guys again! now i have a 100% on my homework wouuuuu!!
