Write this inequality in Slope-Intercept form.... -6x+2y< (underlined) 42. I don't understand it.

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

what if you solve say "-6x+2y = 42" for "y" what would that give you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have no idea :(

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well... you may want to brush up your linear simplification section firstly then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3FbQGGKVfc

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-6x+2y \le 42\] thats what the problem is, i just am really confused on how to figure it out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And im in school right now so i cant hear the video and i dont have ear buds to listen to. Sorry.

OpenStudy (adamaero):

Division is the same as if it was an equals sign--except if you divide by a negative number (then you switch the sign).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So then would it be \[y \le3x+21\] ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay ya i got it... Thanks hahahaha
