@kl0723 @TheSmartOne

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plug each co-ordinate into each variable

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you think or do uk?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cuz the first solution doesnt work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you go about doing it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. -55 2. 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well then sir you are right. The answer is C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did 6*-9-3/2= -55 #2 i did 6^2- 4/2= 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup thats right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good job

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

this is just a matter of subbing.. 6x - y/2 = 14 lets try this one...(-9,3)...x = -9 and y = 3 now we sub 6(-9) - 3/2 = 14 -54 - 3/2 = 14 -- multiply everything by 2 -108 - 3 = 28 I can tell you right now that this does not equal. 6x - y/2 = 14 (2,-4) now sub 6(2) -(-4/2) = 14 12 + 2 = 14 14 = 14 (BINGO...this is solution)

thanks!

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

sure thing :)
