omg nows my time to shine @bibby
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ok
OpenStudy (squirrels):
Ok well try to find x first shall we?
\[2x + 30 =80\] so lets subtract 30 to both side so we can get 2x by itself
OpenStudy (squirrels):
\[2x=50\]See what I did there?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yess

Ok we want to get "x" by itself so we divide 2 from both side. What does that give us?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Give me one sec. while I write this down.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
x = 0.04
OpenStudy (squirrels):
uh not quite. Its 50/2.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Oh ok!

OpenStudy (squirrels):
Ok sweet, now that we know x=25. we plug it in x+15
OpenStudy (squirrels):
So what is 25+15?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
40
OpenStudy (squirrels):
Nice! Ok so do you still need help with the 2nd one?

I will try it on my own tell me if it's good :)
OpenStudy (squirrels):
Sure, omg you actually like to learn.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I do :D! So I subtracted 27 to get x alone and x = 2
OpenStudy (squirrels):
Yup subtract 27 to both sides.
\[3x+27=33\]\[3x=6\]\[x=2\]You got got it right :)
OpenStudy (squirrels):
Bibby stop!!
