What does it mean when instructions for a graph says to graph 2 periods? Example?

OpenStudy (xxhomeworkhelperxx):

If your talking about a Cordinate Plane then to Grapgh to Periods is like Plotting Points,if that Helps

Hmmmmm, I mean, like, for example, if I am told to graph 2cos2x, and I know the period is 2pi/b and b is 2, thus, 2pi/2= 2, which would be the period... when it says to graph TWO periods, then what would I do? :/

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

One period is the least amount of graph you need to see how the entire graph looks like. A periodic function, like sine, cosine, etc., repeats itself every period.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Here is an example. This is the graph of y = sin x for one period from x = 0 to x -= 2*pi |dw:1413916213837:dw|
