PLZ HELP IM SO CONFUSED!!! In this lesson, you have seen that authors use descriptive words, vary sentence structure, and weave meaningful dialog in a text to capture readers' interest. Now it is your turn. How can you use the Author's Tool Box tools to make a classic fable more interesting?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A Lion asleep in his lair was woken up by a Mouse running over his face. Losing his temper he seized it with his paw and was about to kill it. The Mouse, terrified, piteously entreated him to spare its life saying he could help him in return someday. The idea of so insignificant a creature ever being able to do anything for him amused the Lion so much that he laughed aloud, and good-humoredly let it go. But the Mouse's chance came, after all. One day the Lion got entangled in a net which had been spread for game by some hunters, and the Mouse heard and recognized his roars of anger and ran to the spot. Without more ado it set to work to gnaw the ropes with its teeth, and succeeded before long in setting the Lion free.

I will not just give you the answer straight away, I will help you through it. -DOUBLE UP! << I like to call it double up! What do I mean by this? You can never use too many descriptive words. DOUBLE UP on the descriptive words! -BRING ON THE DIALOGUE, BRING ON THE DIALOGUE! << Use dialogue! Using lot's of dialogue makes it more interesting for the reader to read the passage. It brings "life" to the story. -STOP AND PAUSE! << I like to call it stop and pause! What do I mean by this? Make your story more suspenseful by adding "stops" in the middle of the sentence, or making it seem like the characters are interuppting eachother. Now you can try and revise the article using these tips. @isuckatmath21 Medals appreciated.
