Please answer the following questions about your article in complete sentences. Is it a new discovery, a controversy, a new product, or something else? Give a brief but complete summary of the article. Describe how chemistry is involved in detail. What is your perspective on the subject of this (in other words, how is it related to you)? What could happen because of this in the future?

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

Hey

They basically made it possible to view molecules under a microscope using fluoresence microscopy, which in other words is emission of light. Unlike regular micscroscopes, this one uses a much higher intensity light source which excites a fluorescent species (exciting a molecule, which causes them to move from ground state \(\rightarrow\) excited state \(\rightarrow\) ground state, hence emitting flouresence) in a sample of interest. This fluorescent species in turn emits a lower energy light of a longer wavelength that produces the magnified image instead of the original light source. But in this case, they're working with cells and so the fluorescence microscope lets excitation light radiate the specimen and then sort out the much weaker emitted light from the image.

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

So Is it a summary of a article?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

You can read it yourself. I'm giving you background information about what it is they improved upon and how it works.

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

Please give me a summary of it
