@mathstudent55 @amistre64 @perl @satellite73 @ganeshie8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wouldn't it be 1/2 because you can times 2 3 times on 1 die( 2 times 1)( 2 times 2) (2 times 3)

OpenStudy (perl):

The sample space of a die roll is {1,2,3,4,5,6} What are the multiples of 2 , how many are there. divide it by the number of elements total in the set

OpenStudy (perl):

probability = # favorable events / # total events

OpenStudy (perl):

assuming we are talking about equally likely events

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3

OpenStudy (perl):

there are three favorable events 2,4,6 there are six events total: 1,2,3,4,5,6 probability = 3/6 3/6 also equals 1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was thinking 3/6 but i simplied it to 1/2 not 1/1

OpenStudy (perl):

typos happen :()

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no prob/// thank you perl :D

OpenStudy (perl):

:D

OpenStudy (perl):

sideways smile

OpenStudy (anonymous):
