Where in eukaryotic cells does protein synthesis take place? A; ribosomes B; endoplasmic reticulum C; cytoskeleton

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

A/B

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

If you wanna be general with the answer....its A

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

If you wanna be a smart-alec .......... then you would say B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say ribosomes.

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

Here is my reason for B, During translation, the growing peptide coming out of the P-site of the ribosomes can have a signal particle. A signal recongition particle in the cytosol, can attach to the signal particle off of the growing peptide. This would drag the whole complex to the Endoplasmic Reticu..... yeah..... and translation can occur on the ER.

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

Depending on your grade level...... the answers can be refutable.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I tried ER and it was not the correct answer. I suppose they aren't trying to be smart-alac. lol

OpenStudy (ookawaiioo):

LOL........ Being a smart-alec will make you lose friends. Ive learned it the hard way T.T

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Same here. cx Unfortunately.
