If A = {red, orange, yellow} and B = {red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet}, what is A union B? {red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet} {red, orange, yellow} {all colors except red, orange, yellow } { }

Second one?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

No. Example: M = {A,B,C,D} N = {D, %, ^, &} M \(\cup\) N = {A,B,C,D,%,^,&} M \(\cap\) N = {D} Try now? :)

The 3rd choice?

OpenStudy (akashdeepdeb):

No. As I said, union includes all of the elements of BOTH sets. So it is the first choice, as it includes all elements of of both the sets. If you had to find A intersection B, then the second choice was correct, because it included ONLY the common elements from both sets A and B.
