If you imagine a Venn Diagram, a union is the section in which both A and B would overlap. This is also know as A and B. Therefore, you need to determine which numbers are in both sets. These numbers will form a new set that is the answer to your question.

I think you've got that backwards Carson :O A and B = A intersect B (overlapping region), A or B = A union B (overlapping plus A plus B),

@zepdrix Your absolutely right, I had that backwards. A Venn Diagram of A or B would include A, B, and the space covered by both of them.
