If Jason wants to build muscle mass in a healthy way, what kind of exercise should he include in his fitness program?

oh wow i have this off the top of my head just cant think of it but there are many ways. as like weightlifting well he should focus on lifting weights and eating alot of protein, meats, potatoes, etc food like that. but he should set some goals, like with my goals i use pictures as an example so i can help myself picture what it would be like to look like that and it also improves my workout, and he could eat good fats which can reeeeeeaaaallllllyyyy help to what he is trying to get to. but yeah he needs to set measurable goals, and to remember to not eat for the body he has, but to eat for the body he wants. milk it also a good source of bulding muscle as long as its low-fat, but i would recommend 1% low fat white milk or 1% low fat chocolate milk which is good to drink after a workout, but he should print or write down a goal like if he were to bench, squat, etc. then to make a plan of how many sets/reps he will be doing but in the first two weeks or month he should start out light but not too light but you can also build strength which i think is the same thing as muscle mass, so then he should do some type of circuit training/pyramid bench/ or max. but if he benches or uses too much weight at a time then it could also lead to injuries. it just depends what type of workout equipment he has though.

and its not all about the physical part, diet plays a big part in how your workouts could go. my weight lifting book says to eat 45% carbs, which is breads(its okay to eat white bread after beginning the process),rice, pasta, potatoes(anything that is white, is considered as carbs, sweet potatoes. 20-30% fats(try to stick with unsaturated fat) proteins 10-35%, peanut butter, steak, nuts, chocolate milk, hamburger, chicken sandwich(if its a big burger that you might think is bad for you its not unless its from a fast food place, like mcdonalds, burger king, etc but any other local restaurant is better for you than that. and beef jerky is really good for you. depending on his goals it would change his diet, like if he wants to gain alot of muscle he should eat atleast 8 meals a day but with good food like i provided above. or he could add and subtract from his workout like say he starts out with benching 120 then after about two weeks he should try going up 5 lbs. but always decreasing wont help it will just wear the muscle out so go a week with adding 5 lbs then if he can handle it then decrease after a week because you should wait 2-4 weeks in changing the weight. but if he wants to see results fast i would do what i recommended and to NOT set impossible fitness goals because then he is just setting himself up for failure. like if he were to bench he should be able to touch it on his chest then be able to bring it back up. and these type of workouts should only be done 2-3 days a week w/ running if he wants its more of an option but i only do weightlifting 2-3 days a week and i get good results like i said its all in the diet.
