OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

\[\Large 0.25x+0.05\left( 20-x \right)=0.21\times 20\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, I see what you did. Let me solve it and I will reply with the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, I multiplied the entire equation by 100 to get rid of the decimals and when I went that way, I got a final answer of 1600, which doesn't really sound right

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

\[25x+5\left( 20-x \right)=21\times 20\] is this your equation without decimals?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=16 is that right? I set my equation up the wrong way and should have gotten 16 instead of 1600

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

yes, 16 liters of the first drink

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, thank you so much for your time, I really appreciate it!

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

mixed with 4 liters of the 2nd drink

OpenStudy (paxpolaris):

no problem :)
