OpenStudy (like1234):

Which shows the numbers in order from least to greatest? |dw:1414420452104:dw| A. B. C. D.

OpenStudy (igreen):

Convert them to decimals. \(3 \dfrac{2}{3} = 3.67\)

OpenStudy (igreen):

So what's the order, can you tell now?

OpenStudy (like1234):

hold on i'm thinking

OpenStudy (igreen):

Sorry I meant: \(3.7, 3.65,~and~3.67\)

OpenStudy (like1234):

3.7 3.65 3.67

OpenStudy (igreen):

Um, no that's wrong..

OpenStudy (like1234):

?

OpenStudy (like1234):

whats wrong about it????

OpenStudy (like1234):

@iGreen

OpenStudy (igreen):

3.65 3.67 Look, they both have 3 at the beginning, and 6 after the decimal. What numbers are after the 6? 5 & 7 are.. 5 is less than 7, which means 3.65 is less than 3.67. Also, 3.7 is bigger than both 3.65 and 3.67 because the number after the decimal in 3.7 is 7, and the numbers after the decimal in 3.65 and 3.67 are both 6. Therefore the correct order is: \(3.65, 3.67, 3.7\) or \(3.65, 3\dfrac{2}{3}, 3.7\)

OpenStudy (like1234):

thanks soooooo much

OpenStudy (like1234):

i always get stuck on decimals

OpenStudy (igreen):

You put: 3.7, 3.65, 3.67 3.7 is the biggest..it wants least to greatest. 3.65 is the smallest..and 3.67 is the middle term.
